Davis Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (DCCME), Richmond, California was formed in 1942. During the Christian Methodist Church, Northern California Region Annual Conference, Bishop C. H. Phillips, Presiding Prelate, officially recognized and sanctioned DCCME birthing on York Street. At the close of the Northern California Region Annual Conference, Reverend George Washington Davis, Richmond, California, was assigned as the Pastor-In-Charge and organized the first CME Church in Richmond.

Today, DCCME is at the forefront of a comprehensive salvific empowerment movement through which life changing religious/social programs and services are developing and impacting not only moral and life changing experiences for individuals and families, but also within the widening of neighborhoods and communities. DCCME quest is to provide an anointed campus environment of programs and services to multigenerational and multicultural individuals, families and communities seeking success and prosperity through God’s plan. “Whosoever Will-Let Them Come” where “Changed People are Changing Lives For Christ.”

Davis Chapel Impact Community Programs

The DCI core objective is to provide comprehensive services and programs.

“Our prayer for you is that the God of all grace, mercy, and salvation bless you with fresh anointing, and His precious Spirit illuminates the Word as you read and believe. May He empower you to effectively communicate to others the vibrant hope that He has given you to persevere the struggles that you have overcome and continue to overcome.

Furthermore, we’re praying that your home be a reflection of the joy and peace that God has promised to all of His children who follow Him. We bless your children, the fruit of your body. We speak life into your marriage, your ministry and your mission.

As you lie down at night we pray for more peace and rest. Rest in Him and arise refreshed for we need you. Your prayers, your support and your love are important to us. So we pray you will take care of yourself; and if you should need pastoral care and/or spiritual guidance in facing circumstances and situations-we’re here for you through your storms and breakthroughs. ”

Throughout the week, DCCME is actively engaged in religious programs and services.
